Changes to Ranked in Second Split of 2023 Season

Yesterday game developer shared some information about changes that will come to League in the near future. After the new season started, we saw some interesting changes that seems to help players enjoy ranked games more. Some of them were:

• Removing promos between divisions.
• Lowering amount of promo wins needed to advance to next league.
• Adjusting the amount of LP gained or lost after games.

Yesterday they are decided to make a new step in the same direction, and first reply from the community is very promising.

Starting with Second Split of League of Legends 2023 Ranked Season (first one ends on July 17th), we will witness new changes:

• There will be no more promos in the game and now we will reach rank when we get more than 100 LP
• Amount of Placement games needed to get rank in new split will be lowered from 10 to 5
• There will be a new League added that will be placed between Platinum and Diamond and it will be called Emerald League All of these changes should have positive impact on the vast group of players. Especially new rank should adjust place where all the players below Diamond will be placed, and they should end higher than they were placed in previous split!

Last important information was announcing champions that will be base for a Victorious Skin in first split on 2023 Ranked Season. It will be Anivia!
