We know when does season 1 end, and season 2 starts!

Almost 4 months are behind us of 2026 year in League of Legends, and then means that soon we will see end of the 1st thematic season. Because of that game developer shared a lot of information about what to expect in 2 weeks! Coincidentally it happened around new patch so here is the summary.

Patch 26.8 focuses on balancing strong meta picks, boosting underperforming champions, and improving early‑game ability choices. It also introduces champion‑specific keybinds, new Discord integration, and updates across ARAM, ARAM: Mayhem, and Arena.

Key Highlights

Ranked Season 1 ends April 28, Season 2 begins April 29.

Champion-specific keybinds finally added.

Discord integration (beta in NA/Canada/Brazil) for easier party invites.

New skins: PsyOps Vladimir, PROJECT: Sivir, Space Groove Zac, PROJECT: Command Line Master Yi.

Champion Changes

Nerfs: Mel (Q & W), Dr. Mundo (jungle clear), Karma (base stats + E), Tahm Kench (passive scaling).

Buffs: Lucian (E cooldown & mana), Hwei (passive damage), Lillia (jungle passive), Yuumi (R healing), several Arena AP ratios.

QoL: Zyra & Zilean can’t level unusable W at level 1.

Game Modes

ARAM & Mayhem: Lower movement speed stacking, item cooldown buffs, multiple augment adjustments, and many bugfixes.

Arena: Big AP ratio buffs for champs like Tristana, Sivir, Senna, Viktor, Seraphine, Vel’Koz, Camille, Kled.

Events

ARAM Clash (Ixtal Cup): Registration April 13, tournament April 18–19.
