Let the wind blows... in the face of our opponents! That's what I do when I play Janna on ranked queue. Being a support main I know that we are often underrated. But as silent heroes, we are the real card dealers on Summoner's Rift. Today I'll share with you few basic information that can help you support your team like a puppeteer, and how to change tides of fight with Janna.

Support Basic Tips

As a support in League of Legends, your role is crucial for your team’s success. Here are some tips to help you win games:

Vision Control and Map Awareness:

Ward strategically: Place wards in key areas to track enemy movement, objectives, and jungle paths. Vision wins games!

Roam: Don’t stay glued to your ADC. Roam mid or help your jungler invade. Impact other lanes and secure objectives.

Wave Control:

Help manage waves: Assist your ADC in freezing, pushing, or resetting waves. Proper wave control denies the enemy farm and sets up ganks.

Learn when to roam: Roaming timing depends on wave position. Don’t leave your ADC stranded during a big wave crash.

Laning Phase:

Harass and zone: Use your abilities to poke enemies and create pressure. Deny them farm and make their laning uncomfortable.

Trade effectively: Shield your ADC during trades. Use your abilities wisely to win exchanges.

Teamfighting:

Positioning: Stay near your carries but out of harm’s way. Peel for them and disrupt enemy engages.

Ultimate usage: Use your ultimate ability (if applicable) to disengage or engage fights. Timing matters!

Adapt to Your ADC:

Support their playstyle: Some ADCs are aggressive, while others prefer a passive laning phase. Adjust your style accordingly.

Enable your carry: Focus on the ADC who can carry. Ignore deadweight teammates.

Itemization and Build Path:

Build situationally: Adapt your items to the game. Prioritize utility and vision items (e.g., Ardent Censer, Redemption, Locket of the Iron Solari).

Control Wards: Always have a control ward on the map. Deny enemy vision and secure objectives.

Communication and Shotcalling:

Ping objectives: Signal your team for dragon, Baron, or turret pushes.

Shotcall: Make decisions for your team. Ping when to engage, disengage, or take objectives.

Remember, as a support, your impact isn’t always reflected in kills or damage. It’s about enabling your team, controlling vision, and making smart decisions. Now let's get back to Janna!

Janna is a versatile support champion in League of Legends. Here are some tips and tricks to help you play her effectively and contribute to your team’s success:

Study the Enemy’s Movement:

Janna’s Q ability, Howling Gale, has a delayed activation and moves slowly toward a target direction. Observe how the enemy bot lane moves and use this ability to predict their movement. Catch them off guard by landing unexpected tornadoes!

Maximize Her Passive:

Janna’s passive ability grants her extra movement speed when moving toward an allied champion or when an ally moves toward her. Use this mobility to your advantage: Help allies escape faster. Position yourself just behind your ally during fights to provide extra mobility for their escapes.

Protect Your Structures:

As a support, your role includes protecting your team’s structures (towers, inhibitors, and Nexus). Use Janna’s abilities to disengage enemies and keep your structures safe.

Be Annoying in Lane:

Janna’s Zephyr (W) ability can slow down enemies. Use it to harass opponents in lane and make their laning phase uncomfortable. Shield your ADC with Eye of the Storm (E) to mitigate damage and win trades.

Engage & Disengage Using Your Ultimate:

Janna’s ultimate, Monsoon, can be a game-changer: Disengage: Push enemies away from your team during fights to create distance. Engage: Use it offensively to isolate a carry from their support, ensuring a kill (especially in a 2v2 situation).
