New maps in ARAM - take a break from the Summoner's Rift - you earned it!

Who would thought that when someone proposed a brawl in the middle lane years ago, it would bring so much joy to the players in MOBA. Right now ARAM game modes are one of the most fun to pick, if you don't want to bother about ranked ladder grind, and just cast spells, fight a little and enjoy some randomness in your life.

Last patch ARAM change were huge part of it, and below you can find a quick summary of what is going on:

New Maps: Two new maps, Koeshin’s Crossing and Butcher’s Bridge, are being added to ARAM, increasing variety and excitement.

Map Selection: Players will randomly play on one of three maps (Howling Abyss, Koeshin’s Crossing, or Butcher’s Bridge). The selection is revealed on the loading screen.

Gameplay Adjustments:

Koeshin’s Crossing: Features portals instead of hextech gates, wider middle lane, and new spiritual aesthetics.

Butcher’s Bridge: Introduces pirate cannons for faster engagement and a Power Flower that grants shield and cooldown reduction.

Champion Selection Changes:

The reroll system is replaced with a hero card system, allowing players to pick between two champions initially, with a third option appearing occasionally.

Unselected champions go to the bench, where teammates can choose them.

Item Updates: The Spectral Rapier returns, offering mobility-focused champions a new option.

These kinds of changes and new maps will keep ARAM fresh while maintaining its core identity. Looking at it, once can hope that Summoner's Rift and classic game mode gets the same treatment.
