Marvel Rivals

From time to time it's good to give yourself a little break from the League. What is better than different ranked addiction? When it comes to competitive multiplayer games, no other game shined as bright as Marvel Rivals!

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play, team-based, third-person hero shooter that features iconic characters from the Marvel Universe. Since its release in December 2024, it has gained significant popularity in the competitive gaming scene. Today I'll try to explain you everything you need to know about it's ranked game mode and system.

Ranked Game Mode

The ranked game mode in Marvel Rivals is designed to test players' skills and allow them to climb through various ranks. Here's a detailed breakdown of the ranking system:

Unlocking Ranked Mode

To unlock ranked mode, players need to reach account level 10, which typically takes around 25–40 matches. Once you hit level 10, you'll have full access to ranked matchmaking, where games follow a more structured format with strict team balancing.

Ranks

Marvel Rivals features nine distinct ranks that players can progress through. Most ranks are divided into three tiers, with III being the lowest and I being the highest within each rank. The ranks are as follows:

Bronze (III → I)

Silver (III → I)

Gold (III → I)

Platinum (III → I)

Diamond (III → I)

Grandmaster (III → I)

Celestial (III → I)

Eternity (Points-based)

One Above All (Points-based)

While most ranks use the three-tier system, Eternity and One Above All ranks operate on a unique points system that sets them apart from the standard progression2.

Rank Points (RP)

Your rank progress is determined by Rank Points (RP), which you gain or lose after each match. The factors influencing RP gain/loss include:

Winning Matches: Earns RP

Losing Matches: Loses RP

Dominant Wins: More RP gained

Close Losses: Less RP lost

MVP Performance: Slight RP boost

Winning is the most important factor, but playing well also matters.

Chrono Shield

Marvel Rivals features a unique system called the Chrono Shield, which acts as a safety net against point loss. The Chrono Shield remains active until it is consumed, preventing any rank point deductions regardless of the match outcome. Each rank also includes a 30-point demotion shield. For example, a Gold I player can drop to -30 points while maintaining their rank. Only after exceeding this threshold will they be demoted to Gold II.

High-Elo Ranks

These ranks represent Marvel Rivals elite competitive scene. The highest ranks, Eternity and One Above All, use a points-based system where performance, win rate, and strength of opponents determines progress. The One Above All rank is exclusive to the top 500 players, making it the most prestigious title in the game.

Marvel Rivals ranked system is designed to provide a competitive and rewarding experience for players of all skill levels. Whether you're just starting out or aiming to be among the best, there's a place for you in the Marvel Rivals ranked mode.

I hope this gives you a comprehensive understanding of the Marvel Rivals ranked game mode and system! If you guys think you could use our help in this new hot game, let us know, and we will think about it :)
