New season for Teamfight Tactics is on the server for a few days already, so its good time to look at what is the best now.

The best way to win in 16.1 is to stay flexible – Bilgewater and Ionia are top meta, but late game carries like Senna, Fiddlesticks, and Sylas still secure victories. Below I'll let you know what exactly is going on at the moment.

Key Changes in Patch 16.1

Bilgewater: Nerfed bonuses (Lucky Doubloon and Serpents per Round), but still strong with Miss Fortune and Gangplank.

Ionia: Buffs to Transcendence (70% magic dmg) and Spirit Health (75%) make Ionia comps tankier and burstier.

Yordle: Rerolls reduced (from 2 to 1), harder to hit 3‑stars quickly, but still viable with good RNG.

Diana: Weaker with Attack Speed builds (Titan’s/Rageblade), better played with AP‑focused items.

5‑cost carry: Lucian & Senna, Fiddlesticks, Kindred, Sylas were nerfed but remain dominant in late game.

Best Compositions in 16.1

Bilgewater reroll (Gangplank/Draven/Miss Fortune)

Strong mid game, especially with good economy and AD items.

Aim for 3‑star Gangplank.

Ionia Spirit/Transcendence (Yasuo, Qiyana, Vi, Orianna)

Buffs make Ionia one of the most stable comps.

Works as 2‑cost reroll or late game scaling.

Senna Flex (Senna + Kindred/Fiddlesticks)

Very flexible, adapts to items and lobby.

Senna pairs well with tanky frontlines like Braum or Sejuani.

Fast 9 comps (Bard, Bel’Veth, Viego)

If you have strong economy, rushing level 9 to grab 5‑cost carries is rewarding.

Risky but high win‑rate potential.

Tactical Tips

Adaptation: Don’t lock into one comp – follow items and lobby trends.

Economy: Fast 8/9 leveling is still powerful, especially since 5‑cost carries are crucial.

Itemization: Avoid Diana AS builds, go AP instead.

Scouting: If many players contest Bilgewater, pivot into Ionia or Senna Flex.
