Early Access Launch 2XKO enters Early Access on October 7, 2025. It’s a major step toward building a fighting game that serves the FGC (fighting game community) for years to come.
Seasonal Content Early Access begins with Season 0, which runs through the end of 2025. Each season will introduce a new champion, Battle Pass, and other updates. The goal is five seasons per year, each lasting around 10 weeks.
Ranked Mode Improvements Based on feedback from Closed Beta, Ranked mode will see better matchmaking, placement systems, and smoother progression. Training Mode will also be more accessible between matches.
In-Game Store & Progression The store goes live for the first time. Riot will monitor how players engage with content like skins and progression systems (Battle Pass, Champion Mastery) to refine pacing and appeal.
Competitive Scene Support The First Impact program continues, sponsoring community tournaments throughout 2025. Riot is exploring more ways to support grassroots competition.
Console Development Console support remains a priority. The team is working to evolve from Alpha Labs console betas to a fully featured release.
Live Updates & Feedback Unlike previous test phases, Early Access will feature live updates based on player feedback. Riot encourages players to stay engaged and vocal as the game evolves.
