Scritto da Adam Inko il 2 min di lettura

2XKO

Early Access Launch 2XKO enters Early Access on October 7, 2025. It’s a major step toward building a fighting game that serves the FGC (fighting game community) for years to come.

Seasonal Content Early Access begins with Season 0, which runs through the end of 2025. Each season will introduce a new champion, Battle Pass, and other updates. The goal is five seasons per year, each lasting around 10 weeks.

Ranked Mode Improvements Based on feedback from Closed Beta, Ranked mode will see better matchmaking, placement systems, and smoother progression. Training Mode will also be more accessible between matches.

In-Game Store & Progression The store goes live for the first time. Riot will monitor how players engage with content like skins and progression systems (Battle Pass, Champion Mastery) to refine pacing and appeal.

Competitive Scene Support The First Impact program continues, sponsoring community tournaments throughout 2025. Riot is exploring more ways to support grassroots competition.

Console Development Console support remains a priority. The team is working to evolve from Alpha Labs console betas to a fully featured release.

Live Updates & Feedback Unlike previous test phases, Early Access will feature live updates based on player feedback. Riot encourages players to stay engaged and vocal as the game evolves.

New Content Highlights

  • Champions: Teemo and Warwick join the roster. Teemo uses traps and darts for zoning, while Warwick builds Bloodlust to unlock powerful specials.
  • First Step Missions: New players get guided missions with rewards like Champion Tokens.
  • Combo Trials: Over 250 tutorials to master combos and earn Credits.
  • Stages: Bandlewood Crossing and Firelight Run debut as new match backgrounds.
  • Training Mode: A new frame data bar helps visualize timing and pressure gaps.

Gameplay & Balance Changes

  • Mid-air actions after blocking are now possible, changing how aerial combat works.
  • Break meter and combo recovery timings adjusted for fairness.
  • Assist cooldowns reduced for smoother tag-ins.
  • Several champions rebalanced, including buffs to Braum and Blitzcrank, and tweaks to Jinx, Ekko, Yasuo, Ahri, and Vi.

With start of Season 0 for 2XKO, we got our first patch notes for the game, here is a quick summary of what changed and got added:

Ranked Mode Update Ranked launches October 9 with patch 1.0.1.1. Matchmaking has been refined for better balance and fairer placement. Climbing to Challenger will now require more effort.

Starter Editions offer Champion Tokens, KO Points, and exclusive cosmetics.
