# **Yunara Guide: LoL's Newest Marksman**

We don't get many champions these days, so it's not so hard to quickly adapt to new hot target on the field. Below we get quick information about what to expect if you decide to pick Yunara, or have to compete against her!
Yunara excels at weaving on-hit effects into relentless trades. Her kit revolves around stacking spirit energy, poking with precise shots, and turning fights with a well-timed ultimate.
**Abilities Overview**
*Passive* – *Vow of the First Lands* - Every third basic attack consumes all spirit stacks to deal bonus magic damage and empower your next Q.
*Q* – *Cultivation of Spirit* - Fires a spirit-charged bolt that applies stacks on hit. Fully charged bolts deal bonus damage and reduce healing.
*W* – *Arc of Ruin* / *Arc of Judgment* - Toggle between an area burst and a rapid-fire spirit flurry. Use the burst for trades, the flurry for sustained damage.
*E* – *Kanmei’s Steps* / *Untouchable Shadow* - Dash a short distance, briefly shielding yourself. Can be recast for a second dash when empowered by spirit.
*R* – *Transcend One’s Self* - Enter an enhanced spirit form, gaining attack speed, increased range on Q, and reduced cooldown on E.

**Summoner Spells**
For summoner spells, you pick typical ADC ones - Flash and Barrier to keep you in fight or out of it for longer time. Alternatively you can swap Barrier for a heal if you would need more lane sustain.

*Mythic* - Yun Tal Wildarrows - Enhances on-hit and crit synergy. *Boots* - Berserker’s Greaves - Boosts attack speed. *3rd* - Infinity Edge - Amplifies critical strikes. *4th* - Runaan’s Hurricane - Applies on-hits to multiple targets. *5th* - Lord Dominik’s Regards - Shreds high-health foes.
**Situational Items**
- Mortal Reminder vs. heavy healing.
- Guardian Angel for late-game insurance.
- Wit's End against AP threats.
**Laning Phase Tips**
- Focus on weaving Q casts between auto-attacks to maintain spirit stacks.
- Hit level 2 first, then use W burst and empowered auto-attack for quick trades.
- Plant spirit-charged bolts around brush to zone and threaten engages.
- Keep Barrier available to survive all-ins or jungle ganks.
**Mid to Late Game**
- In skirmishes, use your E’s shield to dodge crucial crowd control.
- Position on the fringes of teamfights—poke with Q then retreat behind frontline.
- Pop R in sieges to shred towers and out-duel isolated targets.
- Split-push when safe: your damage and mobility force multiple opponents to respond.

- Poke Trade Q → Auto-attack → W burst → Back off
- All-In Engage E in → W flurry → Auto-attack → Q smash → R activate
- Escape W burst under feet to slow pursuer → E to safety
**Synergies & Counters**
These supports and jungle partners amplify Yunara’s on-hit slash-and-burn playstyle:
*Leona* Locks down targets with point-and-click stuns, letting Yunara stack spirit and unload empowered autos.
*Nautilus* Engages hard on opponents, setting up prolonged trades where Yunara’s passive and W can shred through tanks.
*Thresh* Hooks in targets for all-ins, provides lantern saves to keep Yunara in range, and zones enemies with Flay.
*Lulu* Grants attack-speed buffs and shields, further boosting Yunara’s stack-through autos and keeping her alive during dives.
*Nami* Heals and enhances Yunara’s damage with Tidecaller’s Blessing, while her slowfish creates easy Q pokes and follow-up.
These champions boast high win rates against Yunara by punishing her reliance on stacking and kiting: Swain, Ziggs, Kog’Maw, Tristana and Vayne. Play these champs’ burst-oriented kits to catch Yunara before she stacks up her spirit, or outscale her sustained DPS.
